Stevens Park Village

Beauty and convenience

Stevens Park Village, one of the most hidden neighborhoods in Dallas' Hidden City, is tucked away between Colorado Boulevard and the edge of the cliff, which affords many of its residents spectacular views of the Dallas skyline.

Wide, curving, tree-lined streets and large medians soften the edges of urban living in this quiet neighborhood. Located near Stevens Park Golf Course, homes here are sought after by those wanting proximity to downtown Dallas and easy access to the Metroplex via 1-30.

Charming and welcoming

Aptly named, Stevens Park Village has a cozy feel due to the charming Austin stone and brick cottage style homes that predominate the neighborhood. Many exterior elevations and eclectic facades allow for an architecturally diverse but highly attractive collection of homes. Fifteen of the homes were designed by noted Dallas architect Charles Dilbeck, who felt that first and foremost a home should be welcoming, and the examples here live up to that promise. Natural materials, intimate scale, and fine craftsmanship are all evident.

The neighborhood, first developed between 1939 and 1941, features homes incorporating hardwood floors, fireplaces, archways, corner cupboards and chair rail molding. An addition immediately to the west was built in the 1950s, and features larger ranch-style homes.

The Stevens Park Village Neighborhood Association was formed in 1991, and keeps "Villagers" informed and hosts quarterly meetings. Special neighborhood events such yard-of-the-month awards and social events keep residents involved.
